  In a word...

For those living in Canada's largest city, Toronto, Tamara Williamson needs no introduction.

During the 10 years that Tamara has called Canada her home, she has established herself as a supremely gifted musician, both in the beauty and originality of her opus, as well as through her ability to captivate her audiences while on stage.

Tamara was born in London, England, and was soon coveted for her musical talents when she was enlisted for classical training at a young age. Though not destined to pursue opera, Tamara flourished in the company of local talent, forming bands with such notables as Alan White, future drummer for Oasis.

In 1993, now living in Toronto, Tamara fronted the hottest 'buzz band' in Canada, and was quickly signed to a record deal with BMG Canada. Together with her band Mrs. Torrance, she toured across Canada opening for Jewel, Oasis, and numerous Canadian icons. Though the band had an explosive following, a high turn-over in the record company's management ended the deal prematurely. Mrs. Torrance parted ways in 1998.

Undaunted, and sure of her gifts, Tamara began the basement production of her first of three solo albums to be released over the next four years.

Her first such album in 1998, Nightmare on Queen Street, for whose production she enlisted the favours of Canada's top 4 record producers, was heralded to one day be 'revered as a milestone for Canadian music' (Drop D Mag, Vancouver, BC).

As a solo performer, with her entirely original use of looping and live sampling through her peddles on stage, Tamara toured the west coast of the United States, New York, and England.
In 1999, after the release of her second solo album, Unconsious Pilot, Tamara's solo performances were 'voted fourth best concert of the year' by Toronto's leading review, NOW magazine.
Aside from her own productions, Tamara also took time to tour through Europe, Canada and some major American cities as the lead guitarist and singer for the Canadian Hip Hop band King Cobb Steelie, signed by Ryco Discs. Among her other musical involvements covering many genres, Tamara continues to write and sing for Microbunny, whose songs are currently being solicited for use in numerous television series.
